MilwaukeesFavoriteDJ founder, David Hall has an extensive musical background. As a teen, David started his public playing experience with Drum & Bugle Corps performing in shows around the country. On his 18th birthday, he won the solo & ensemble competition for best baritone bugle performance at the Men of Brass event held in Milwaukee.
David was a top performer throughout high school playing trombone, French horn and tuba in the jazz ensemble, concert and marching bands. He was the drum major for 4 years and a student director for the pep band.
His love for playing live music was nurtured by his former band director when he was invited to join the Dixieland Express, a 7-piece, authentic Dixieland band as trombonist. This band evolved over the next few years to become Ain't Misbehavin', one of the Midwest's most popular variety bands. David remained with the band for over 25 years.
As he grew musically, David added vocals, trumpet and keyboards to his musical "toolbox". Today, David performs as a "one-man band" and can be found at lounges, clubs and other venues throughout Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
Over 10 years ago, David took his skills as a performer and launched MilwaukeesFavoriteDJ and began working as a DJ for weddings, parties and other events. His strong foundation as a live performer set the stage for him to become a top-level, professional DJ. David's persona and adept ability to "work a room" are valuable assets when it comes to managing all of the details required to run a successful wedding reception or event.
In addition to weddings, events and other functions, David performs weekly as a Pub Trivia Quizmaster. Trivia Nights are a great was for a bar to build repeat traffic.
