It's been an exciting year and as I look back, there were some very special events!

For Live Music, I checked something off the ol' bucket list and performed at the Wisconsin State Fair! Thank you Sprecher Brewery!

I had a few weddings that opted to have live music during their cocktail and dinner hours. It really adds a touch of class to the event and I appreciated all of the positive comments.

There were numerous weddings and couples that stand out in my mind. It's always a pleasure to be part of this special day. I think too many people take for granted the importance of hiring the "right" DJ for their wedding. I am extremely passionate about creating lasting memories!

Well, the Holi-Daze are here! The year flew by and it's time to focus on what the New year will bring. I'm very optimistic about 2012 and already am ahead of the previous year for bookings.

Thank you to everyone who used my services and I look forward to making 2012 even better!

Recap of Gigs for May 21 & 22

Well, it's official! The Wedding Season is back!

Saturday I had a live music gig at the Grand Geneva and it was wonderful!. The nasty weather held off and I was able to play outside.  Here's a video of the setting:

On Sunday, I DJ'd a wedding. Funny, it was also at the Grand Geneva! Did the ceremony, cocktails, dinner and dancing music. The groom's family is from Bulgaria and there were some cool dances and songs reflecting their heritage.

Overall, it was a great weekend and the reports will be now coming throughout the season.

Wedding Season is Coming!

Well, it's the middle of February and I'm thankful that my calendar is filling up with weddings! I love doing them and take great pride in the way they're handled. I'll be working with ACA this Sunday at The Pfister for a Bridal Show. They have a booth and we talk to prospective wedding couples about music for their big day.

I bought a new light over the weekend and put it to the test Saturday night. It's an American DJ MegaBar 50. The plan is to have multiple units chained together. The new version coming out in March will have a remote control allowing me to change the color scheme at will.... plus the main unit will also control the slaves hooked up to it!

I have a friend who has 12 of these and uses them for uplighting in rooms. Ideally, that's what I want to do as well. It's a great add-on service for weddings and adds a touch of class to any room.

Still have some Saturdays available for 2011.... but I'd say that between April 1 and October 31, there are only 7 - 8 open!

Recap of this weekend's gigs

I played LIVE at The Branded Steer Friday and Saturday nights. Friday was the busier of the two nights and I was was happy to see many of my friends show up to the gigs!

The Branded Steer is getting their live music nights going and needs everyone's help! It's a great venue with a tremendous menu and the bar area where I play is roomy with booths, tables and plenty of bar stools.

Their staff is friendly and from what I hear, the food is delicious! (I've only had the soup.... yummy!)
